Ingredient comparison
PDRN vs peptides: what is the difference?
Two popular skincare terms, explained without hype—and why they may appear together in a considered Korean serum.

They are different ingredient families
PDRN refers to purified DNA fragments used in cosmetic formulations. Peptides are short chains of amino acids. They are not interchangeable, and each can play a different supporting role within a finished formula.
Why a formula may include both
A multi-active formula can bring different ingredient roles into one step. Signal Serum combines 200,000 ppm salmon-derived PDRN with three targeted peptides: Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 and GHK-Cu (Copper Tripeptide-1). It also includes 2% niacinamide and a multi-hydration complex.
The practical benefit is not simply having more ingredients—it is reducing the need for several overlapping serums when one well-designed formula meets the same routine goal.
Choose by routine need
If your goal is skin that feels hydrated and looks fresh, look at the whole formula, texture and directions. Avoid assuming that a longer ingredient list is automatically better.
